The return game against Coolangatta/ Tweed GC Vets was played on Friday 11 May with 28 players travelling down to their course and a enjoyable day was had by all. We went into the game with a 59 point lead for the shield being played for and due to a strong performance by a number of players, we were able to retain the shield by a margin of 45 points. At the end of the day we were able to have the winner & runner up in Div 1, the runner up in Div 2 and a runner up in ladies Div 2. Congratulations to all players who participated and a big thank you also.

Player are reminded that the various winners and runners up in the championships for the various divisions is based on the best 2 out of 3 rounds and there is a $8.00 nomination fee which must be paid prior to the commencement of the championships. If players are unable to nominate on a Monday, they can contact Ron Pollock to add their name to the sheet.

The 2nd round of the A & L Teams Championships was played at Meadowbrook on Monday 14 May and unfortunately we were unable to put in a strong performance compared to the other clubs in the competition and we were only able to be placed equal 5th on the day. The next round of these championships will be played at Riverlakes on Wednesday 20 June. Again, a big thank you to the players who have participated in this event.
