Corporate Golf Days – Competition Descriptions
Team of 4 Stableford, Single Stableford
Played in groups of 4, this is the game of golf as we know it. Each players plays their own ball and completes 18 holes. Using their handicap, each hole is played for a number of points between 5 and 1, with the winner being the player who scores the greatest number of points over 18 holes.
The Team Variation is used to post the best two scores per hold, so each player plays a complete round, as well as being in a team. This game is popular with groups who have a majority of golfers with official handicaps. It provides them with a complete round of golf, as well as a team event for those who have a bad day.
Each player hits a tee shot. The best shot is selected and then all players play their next shot from the selected position. This process continues until the ball is holed.
Played in groups of 4, this game is popular with groups that include a number of non-golfers or golfers with limited experience. It is a great opportunity for them to get out and enjoy the competition without possessing the acknowledged skills of the game. It is a good way to meet 3 other players whose skill level can vary somewhat. The “best shot” provides a way for all players to complete 18 holes in a team environment.

Corporate Golf Days – Extra Activities
To add to the atmosphere and competition of the day, competition holes can easily be arranged to make your day more exciting and challenging. These include “Nearest the Pin” , “Long Drives” and “Straight Drives”.
We can help you arrange for a “police radar”. Speeds of tee-off shots are recorded and notices can be given for infringements such as “Murdering the Game of Golf” and “Dangerous Driving”.
Sportsman’s holes are another way to enhance your day. Redland Bay Golf Club staff draw a circle around the pin on a par 3. One of your staff mans the hole and players place bets with them on whether or not their tee shot will fall within the circle. This is a great way for you to raise money for charity.
Golf clinics can be also be arranged. One of our PGA Golf Professionals can conduct a lesson prior to play and be placed on a “Beat the Pro” hole or join one of your groups. Speak to your Sales Co-ordinator for more details and prices.
Putting competitions are an easy way to create a fun, competitive atmosphere. During registration, have your guests play a simple or more strategic competition to practice their putting before teeing off.
