THE STORY BEHIND OUR CLUB'S EMBLEM
Many visitors to Redland Bay Golf Club have seen the Rainbow Lorikeets that call Redland Bay Golf Club home.
The birds are pretty to watch and a great source of enjoyment for the many youngsters who look on bright-eyed and intrigued by all the noise and flashes of colour.
The birds are classified thus: The greener ones are the Scaly Breasted Lorikeets.
The "Blueys" can be called Blue Mountain Parrot, Blue Mountain Lorikeets or Rainbow Lorikeet.
The Rainbow Lorikeet features as the Club's emblem.
